Azienda Agricola Landini
Make Me Italy chose AZIENDA Agricola Landini BECAUSE OF:
- The courage to restore, regenerate and completely restore value to land previously used for intensive agriculture
- The vision of restoring ancient crops, today almost exclusively intended for non-food uses, with philanthropic purposes and the restoration of a model of healthy and healing nutrition
- Craftsmanship, care, self-determination with respect to the logic of the markets
- The philosophy of valorising a land and its products without compromise
The Landini Isma agricultural company is located in San Protaso, in the municipality of Fiorenzuola d’Arda and is just a few kilometers from the medieval village of Castell’Arquato. The company’s lands are partly lapped by the Chiavenna stream and thanks to this aspect they are fertile and fresh even in the driest seasons. The family character of the company can be seen in all aspects of cultivation, from spring sowing to autumn harvest.
ORGANIC CROPS
In the last decade the company, previously involved in the traditional cultivations of the Po Valley such as corn, wheat, tomatoes, alfalfa, was first transformed with the introduction of chickpea and quinoa cultivation but found its true identity thanks to introduction of historical oil crops in Italy such as flax and hemp sativa.
Firmly believing in the benefits linked to these two crops, the company has further diversified its business thanks to the installation of a small mechanical cold pressing plant for oilseeds and since 2017 it has been able to produce hemp seed oil and flour and linen, therefore dealing 100% with the entire production chain of its products.
HISTORY
The lands where the Landini agricultural company extends today were cultivated since the early 1900s by the Mutti family, first by the founder Mutti Fortunato and then managed by his son Giuseppe, always known in the company as “the grandfather”.
THE LANDS
The Landini Isma agricultural company has predominantly clay-loamy soils. The extensions go from the plain to the first hill, a very important aspect to ensure optimal crop rotation and good exposure to the sun.
THE PRODUCTION PLANT
The small company production plant allows, through mechanical cold pressing, to produce 100% natural virgin oils without any use of chemicals or preservatives.
