THE PROJECT

Coffee Orafi is a coffee shop and a gemological laboratory. It comes from a precise concept and even before that from an intuition.

The souls of Coffee Orafi are not simply two services offered in the same environment: the space is fully shared in a project that has roots in the future.

Here you will find continuous references between two worlds that are only apparently distant. Many elements hold them together, which imply responsibility towards eco-sustainable trade and defense of craftsmanship.

THE PHILOSOPHY

Gems and coffee beans are similar right from the shape. Small raw grains that man’s wisdom can transform into precious products.
Gems and coffee are fruits of nature, collected by human hands often in the same places.
Gems and coffee are often formed under the same environmental conditions, which is why they often come from the same countries in the southern hemisphere.

Gemstones and coffee are deeply linked to nature. They come from nature and their trade affects the natural, but also the social and economic environment of origin. Coffee Orafi makes every effort to promote fair supply chains, like Colombia Women Coffee.

Sustainability also means strenuous defense of “humane” ways of working and producing. The place is furnished with recycled furniture and materials. The activity is based on networking with local companies and Made in Italy suppliers. Coffee Orafi is an artisan factory, a point of reference for those who want to produce beauty and quality.

The coffee

Coffee Orafi serves espresso coffee in 7 special single origins each from a specific plantation, made with the queen of coffee machines: La Marzocco Strada. Arabica beans are also processed with other extraction methods: filtered, infusion, gravity.

The workshop

The goldsmith and gemological laboratory produces tailor-made jewelery offering the choice of gems from a careful selection: rare precious stones, sometimes less known.
You will find tanzanite, tsavorite and the beautiful lustrous green of demantoite. And also the rubellite, a tourmaline between pink and purple red; the morganite with pink shades; the best known are aquamarine, ruby and sapphire. And finally the rough diamonds, almost ancient talismans, and the classic diamonds certified by GIA or IGI.
