Parizzi Elicicoltura

Make Me Italy chose Parizzi Elicicoltura because of:

1) The courage to restore, regenerate and completely restore value to land otherwise destined for intensive agriculture

2) The vision in restoring a polyculture environment, an oasis of restoration of a virtuous ecosystem model

3) Dedication to an ancient type of culture

4) The philosophy of valorising a land and its products without compromise

Parizzi carries out a natural cycle breeding, in which nature itself dictates the laws of the snail’s development and growth.

Human intervention is limited to ensuring that this process occurs in the best possible way, maintaining the ideal environment for the growth of crops and the snails themselves.

In this way, a zero kilometer product is obtained, raised in compliance with the seasons and the natural life cycle of the snail.

The farm extends for approximately 12,000 m2. on a fertile plot of land, bordered to the east by the embankment of the Taro river, in the Parma food valley.

It has 47 enclosures of various sizes divided between breeding enclosures and fattening enclosures.

An adequate irrigation system maintains a humidity suitable for crop growth and an ideal environment for growing snails.

Every year the fences are worked and sown with fresh vegetables from carefully selected seeds.

Snails feed ONLY on these crops.
